Canadian Caver Index 1969 - 2023 (#93) A complete index of contents of The Canadian Caver magazine from the first issue in 1969 to the most recent which was originally compiled and currently updated by Ian McKenzie. The index below is grouped into very general categories for ease of searching. The Canadian Caver issues are now numbered sequentially, but it has not always been so simple. Between 1972 and 2000 a Volume/Number scheme was used. After issue #5, the sixth issue was called Volume 4 Number 1 to reflect the fourth year of publication, and subsequent issues followed suit until Volume 31 Number 1 which reverted back to being called Number 56. Therefore note, for instance, 4:1 and 4/1:1 do not refer to the same issue. The volume period had two numbered issues per year (ie. Vol.6, #1, Vol.6, #2). A sequential numbering was adopted at #56, recognizing that the Canadian Caver although averaging 2 issues/year is published irregularly, depending on the dedication and enthusiasm of the editor(s) and the volume of articles submitted. Index example: 6/1:3*,10 means Volume 6 Number 1 has two references, beginning on pages three and ten. Asterisk (*) indicates a map or survey accompanies the page three reference. A reference without a page number may indicate a location in a pocket, insert or cover.
