REDEMPTION CAVE PROJECT

Large formations of carbonate rock found in the Cariboo, McGregor and other Rocky Mountain Ranges east of Prince George, British Columbia provide immense opportunity for cave/karst discovery and exploration. In the fall of 2000, a photograph of a large hole swallowing a creek reached the Northern B.C. Caving Club, and in the spring of 2001 members visited the entrance for the first time. The cave was, well......huge, and was subsequently named Redemption; named after finding such a fine cave after a series of unsuccessful explorations. The cave was found to have many unique features, thus the Redemption Cave Project was born....
