Near the northern Yukon village of Old Crow, at Bluefish Cave, is the oldest evidence of human occupation in North America. Bluefish Caves are three small caves in the Yukon showing clues that Asian tribes dwelt there 23,000 years ago - 11,000 years earlier than had previously been established. The area around the caves was very likely a northern steppe, alive with bison, horses and lions.
